Your health and safety is Health-Choice’s most important concern.
The following Procedures and House Rules have been developed in order to create an environment that is safe and at the same time welcoming.
I value Ethical behaviour, discretion, responsibility, safety, respect and reliability. This is what you can expect from me. I expect the same from you.
Good standards of Personal care and hygiene are expected.
Prior to the 1st massage or personal / rehabilitation training session, you will be required to complete a health questionnaire. The questions have the sole purpose of providing a quick assessment of your general state of health and in particular if there are any precautions or contra- indications to consider. Together we will look at the best type of massage techniques that suit your specific needs. The Assessment for training is more extensive.
Any information exchanged before, during or after the sessions is strictly confidential and will not be disclosed to others.
In case of doubt or if symptoms or contraindications are such that I don't know, cannot or may not treat you (within the scope of my profession as massage therapist or trainer), I will refer you to your general practitioner or physiotherapist. The same may apply in case you are undergoing specific medical treatments or are using medications. In that case the approval of your general practitioner/specialist is required in writing.
Massage therapy does not constitute medical treatment and it is not a substitute for medical examinations or diagnosis. If you have a health condition, please consult your GP before seeking massage therapy or personal training and ensure that your massage therapist or trainer is informed.
In all other cases, following the first intake and consultation, I develop a results-oriented massage treatment or training plan which includes the step by step program to achieve the discussed goals.
NOTE: If you withhold information or provide me with wrong information, you cannot hold me responsible for the lack of results or possible negative consequences/effects experienced after a massage treatment or a training session.
Clients are aware that the training and massages will be performed at their own risk. Health-Choice shall not be held liable for any claims, demands or actions arising out or related to any damage or injury that may arise or be sustained as a result of its services.
Training
- Bring your own towel to the studio for hygiene reasons
- Wear comfortable sporting clothes
- Wear good and clean indoor sport shoes
Massage therapy
The massage treatments take place in a relaxed atmosphere and on a comfortable, electrically adjustable massage table.
After lying down on the table, I cover you with a towel or sheet, so that you feel warm, comfortable, safe and unexposed. Only the massaged body part is uncovered: your back, one arm or one leg, for instance.
Appointments
Intakes, massages and training sessions take place by confirmed appointment only.
Appointments can be made by phone, e-mail, text message or Whatsapp.
Health Choice is very flexible in scheduling hours. You can make an appointment Monday to Friday from 07:00 to 19:00 for training and for massage therapy. There is also the possibility of scheduling appointments on Saturday.
I understand that sometimes life gets in the way and plans change. I always try my best to accommodate my client’s requests to change appointments. However, my schedule is very tight and I often have little time to spare.
If you arrive late, your session will be shortened and will still end at the time it was scheduled to end. As I reserved the time for you, you will be charged in full.
If you are unable to attend your scheduled appointment, you can cancel it free of charge with a minimum of 24 hours notice. Massage or training appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours notice will be charged in full.
Payments
Payments are to be made in cash, preferably in the exact change, by bank transfer or Tikkie in advance. It is not possible to use ATM cards or credit cards.
Health-Choice is not responsible for any damages or loss of personal belongings.
The terms and conditions of Health-Choice are filed at the Chamber of Commerce in Rotterdam, governed by Dutch law.
